About
Twenty years of making
computers do the work.
I'm a Principal AI Architect with 20+ years in software engineering and a background that doesn't fit the usual mold — I'm an Industrial Engineer by training, with graduate studies in Pedagogy. That combination turned out to matter more than I expected.
As an Industrial Engineer, I was trained to see the world as interconnected systems — processes, flows, constraints, and outcomes. That lens shaped how I approach AI platforms: not as collections of features, but as engineered pipelines with measurable outcomes. And my graduate studies in Pedagogy shaped how I lead teams: I don't just build things, I transfer knowledge, run workshops, and make sure the people around me can build too.
I've been leading AI engineering efforts since early 2023 — before most companies had an AI strategy.
What started as a whispered question from our Chief Strategy Officer turned into a full AI engineering platform serving Fortune 500 clients — RAG microservices, qualitative and quantitative analysis pipelines, agentic systems, and a reusable engineering template that lets my team scaffold and deploy production AI microservices in hours.
At different points in this journey I was the one writing the code, designing the architecture, teaching the team, and sitting across the table from external vendors making sure they delivered. Sometimes all in the same week.
I'm a firm believer that you should study what you do. My engineering degree taught me to see processes. My pedagogy studies taught me to teach. Twenty years of software taught me to build. AI gave me the best problem I've ever worked on.
I write about the real journey — what worked, what didn't, and what's next.
